Utilising a single Quad-Core Xeon processor, the 5016 series delivers high levels of performance at an affordable price. Four drivebays provide generous levels of storage with the ability to mix storage types (7200RPM SAS for mass storage or 15K SAS for high performance). The 5016 supports upto 24GB RAM, enough for demanding database applications and modern operating systems.
Ideal for medium sized websites that demand more than a virtual dedicated server can offer.
The 5016 represents our smallest specification dedicated server however we don’t class it as “entry level”, instead we refer to it as “Business Class”. We typically fit an Adaptec SAS RAID controller to give true hardware storage protection. The RAM used is enterprise DDR3 ECC (Error Correcting Circuit) which enables servers to continue running without downtime in the event of a faulty RAM chip.
It is due to high specifications like these that our servers stay running where cheaper ones do not.
