Hardware Firewalling - Included as Standard
It is a sad fact of life that the Internet can be a dangerous place. Every single day networks are scanned by hackers looking for vulnerable servers to compromise for their own gains. Whilst firewalling is only part of the defence against hackers it is perhaps the most important part. Software firewalls are simply not good enough.

Good firewall protection is a fundamental business requirement; therefore every single server we host is protected by an Enterprise level ICSA certified hardware firewall. Using Stateful Packet Inspection technology traffic is scanned and if necessary, blocked.
Whilst firewalls are physically shared by servers, they are logically dedicated. Separate rulesets are defined for each server to a customer’s individual requirments. We can open up generic ports such as HTTP (Web) to the world, whilst restricting sensitive ports to your office IP ranges.
As well as preventing hackers from port scanning (A port scan will not reveal the port as open or closed - it will be classed as unknown due to the stealth functionality) and detecting what operating system you are running the firewalls will block all known DOS attacks.
