Data Backup Area - Included as Standard
Data backups are essential no matter how resilient your server may be. Logical data loss could occur as a result of a mistake and no server is resilient in a fire/flood disaster scenario. Data backup is a fundamental business requirement; therefore we strongly recommend that Customers opt for a secure Data Backup Area.
The Data Backup Area can be presented over iSCSI, NFS or SMB and is accessed
over a Gigabit private network connection such that this data transfer
does not count towards a servers' bandwidth allocation.
The Data Backup Area is located away in a separate datacentre and utilises RAID to protect against data loss.
Titan pioneered the concept many years ago, giving customers access to onsite NAS. When the competition caught up we then went a step further, putting the Data Backup Area offsite. We are again redefining the concepts, providing customers with iSCSI (appears as local disk) access to offsite storage.
