Customers with virtual or fully dedicated servers are free to install whatever software they choose provided all software is licensed correctly.

SQL Server Express is free of charge, however lacks some features which makes it unsuitable in a dedicated server environment. To benefit from the advanced features other editions of SQL Server provide, customers can:

• Install, License and run SQL Server on your own server
• Make use of a Titan Shared Server running 64-bit Windows and SQL Server Standard

Shared SQL Server

If you have a requirement for SQL Server 2005 or 2008 and need the advanced features not found in Express editions but cannot afford the costly per-cpu licenses required for internet use, or quite simply do not want the extra hassle of maintaining SQL databases then why not take advantage of our SQL facilities. We can offer SQL databases to all dedicated server/colocation/hosting customers at exceptionally low cost.

As our shared SQL Servers (Standard Edition) are dedicated to running just SQL in a native 64-bit environment database performance will be far greater than running SQL on a server with functions (eg IIS).
